Art journal, watercolour and ink.
I really liked the "piece" (actually a page in my art journal) from a couple of days ago, "Under the Weather," with its grey-greens. They were a result of the aversion to waste that I've mentioned before: instead of cleaning my palette, I mixed together all the paint residue on it, and those colours were the result. I am planning to try making a "real" piece inspired by that page, so I thought I would try mixing similar colours.
On an impulse I started placing these mixtures on my art journal page in rows of "swatches." Eventually, the places where the paint "bloomed" seemed to suggest a landscape, so I helped it along with my pen.
