"Treasure" Mixed media/collage on paper, 21 x 28.5"
I had a little insight recently. There are several projects that I have planned or ideas I would like to try, but I realized that in my mind I have them filed under "some day." For example, I did a page in my art journal back on Day 96 that I really liked and have been thinking that I should try to do a big piece like that... some day. But some day never comes. Why not TO-day? I overcame my resistance and decided to take a crack at it.
As luck would have it, just when I was getting ready to start, my friend Kevin appeared at the front door, bearing a gift of gold leaf for me to experiment with. I included some of it in the piece.
I have given it the title "Treasure," both for the flecks of gold and silver, and for my wonderful friend Kevin.
